Small town with freindly people.

Small town with freindly people. We ate at Saba Thai which was good. Across wyndham super 8 there are food joints like starbucks, KFC etc with easy access Waterfront area is limited. We used port angeles as base for travelling to Hurricane ridge, HOH rainforest (Hall of Mosses), Ruby beach and Forks. Breakfast at Princess Inn in Forks was excellent

If I had come earlier in the fall when the weather was better two nights at the hotel with time to explore Hurricane Ridge would have been my preference. The town is ok, it lacks the charm of places like Port Townsend or Poulsbo but most people come for the Olympic Forest or the ferry to Victoria BC.

We were just passing by to head to the Hoh rain forest from Seattle and did not explore the city at all. So, do not want to comment. Heard some nice things about the place, but had no time at all to dig into it.

Port Angeles and Sequim are both delightful little towns, very different but both very friendly. And very near the beautiful Olympic National Park. We commuted to practice medicine there for 5 years, and it would be a wonderful place to live, but certainly is a delight to visit. Many upscale restaurants in both towns. And you are not far from Port Townsend, and Victoria BC Canada.

Port Angeles is a good mid-point between Port Townsend and Neah Bay Indian Reservation. Waterfront area is the main attraction in P.A. with several restaurants to choose from. Waterfront has some good restaurants and main ferry to Canada. Be careful of the 2-way, one-way streets that are not marked so on side roads.

We were on a bicycle trip from the San Juan Islands to Sol Duc Hot Springs. We camped mostly, but stayed in a room at Port Angeles so that we could take a bus up to Hurricane Ridge. The bus was a bargain at $2 round trip (half that for seniors), and we were able to park our bicycles in a locker near the waterfront at no charge.

Room was clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable. There was a choice for breakfast. Most of the staff were helpful. Great location for lots of things we needed - an early start to Hurricane Ridge (entrance about 5 min drive). Really close to the town restaurants, the supermarket is just around the corner and the car ferry terminal for Vancouver Island is a couple of mins drive. There is a great short cut to town down a set of steps (maybe 60 steps?) but you can also drive or walk along the street if mobility is a problem.

Great lodge feeling in the reception area. View towards the golf course behind the hotel was wonderful and calming. Heated pool and whirlpool open till 10pm. Included breakfast was very good. Bed was comfortable and room was quite big. Unusual layout of bathroom with one bathroom sink outside of the bathroom itself. Although very fitting into the overall design as lodge, the room itself was very "brown". Easy to find and free parking outside of the building. Would stay there again next time I am in the area.

We were in transit from Washington to Victoria BC on the ferry and picked this hotel and were very happy we did. Very nice, spacious room with balcony where we could sit and enjoy a Walla Walla Rose with a spectacular view of the waterfront area. Close to great restaurants and the ferry early next morning. Very helpful reception staff. Free parking. First class and very reasonable price.

Very spacious, quick easy check in and out. Friendly, helpful staff. Great stay for a motel. Will need to stay in Port Angeles most weekends next 6 weeks and plan to stay here again because of location in town, and lower cost in an expensive, remote town with very limited summer availability. Mini fridge was nice and cold.

Room was very clean and the bathroom was quite nice. I could walk over to a gas station in the morning and grab a breakfast sandwich. It was only a short drive to quality restaurants.
