    Smithfield suited our needs for this trip.

    Smithfield suited our needs for this trip. There was ample retail to assist with some items we needed. Our business took us to a nearby town not allowing us much time to explore but the town looked interesting. We did notice that this area evidently is home to university/college students but that presented no problems whatsoever.

    Hotel excellent but needed a car for the location.

    Hotel excellent but needed a car for the location. Further away from Newport than I realised. Service excellent and hotel very good and comfortable. Wouldn't stay more than 2 nights as not a lot to do around there. Strangely enough no changing room or shower for using after use of pool or gym.

    Centrally located, Room & hotel was clean, Staff were friendly, Price was higher than other Holiday Inns I have stayed in--- didn't need the extra couch, Quiet atmosphere, great fitness room, pool seemed dirty

    I travel a lot, and it is a best hotel I have ever stayed in! The room is very clean and comfortable, the staff is so friendly and helpful! The breakfast area is very cozy, the breakfast itself is excellent - eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, pastries, yoghurts, everything is delicious and fresh. The only problem is the noisy air conditioner. It’s time to replace it with a quiet and modern one.

    The room is clean and well-equipped, including microwave, dishwasher, plates, glasses, knives and forks, so it is a good choice for families. In addition, the breakfast is better than other express hotels. I generally was satisfied with the hotel if there was not double billing.

    It was the first time that we stayed at this hotel, as we always stay at other nearby hotels. It is at an adequate location to get us closest to our events since the other hotels were already all booked.

    It's OK if you just need a place to crash on your trip for a night. The rooms are OK - standard American hotel fare. They are big, no problem with space.
