    Surfside is a beautiful beach and we love the area we can...

    Surfside is a beautiful beach and we love the area we can pay a little to drive our jeep on to. Lots of families with kids. We brought out puppies and waters and snacks. There was enough space to set up our chairs and umbrellas. I would recommend going really early and leaving around 3pm. After that the crowd started to change and it’s no longer as safe for the little ones. Overall I would go again!

    Super cute house but lacking TLC.

    Super cute house but lacking TLC. The house has 2 beautiful decks (where the ocean view is located). The top deck had NO chairs to sit on with 1 small round broken splintered wood table. The main deck downstairs had 1 plastic beach chair and 1 plastic end table. I would not rent this house again for this reason alone. I did send pictures to Vacasa with concern of black mold. The ceiling in the upstairs bathroom had black mold and was bubbling, as well as the ceiling in the front upstairs bedroom and the kitchen ceiling above the stove (I would want to know if it were my house). The kitchen appeared to be pieced together with old garage sale finds. Pots and pans with no lids, non-stick pans worn out and peeling and the frig did not accommodate food/dinners for 9 people for the week. This was our first vacation rental so maybe my expectations were too high? We had a blast and plan to return next summer, just not this house.

    Surfside beach is great. Not crowded, great places to eat.

    Surfside beach is great. Not crowded, great places to eat. Definitely a family friendly area. Just don’t stay at Ocean Side Resort due to absurd charges that are charged after checking out. Seahorse is a great place to eat. Either outside on the deck or inside with air

    The view was perfect.

    The view was perfect. I have bad knees so the distance to the beach was short and accommodating with rails for support. Bathrooms on the beach. Family oriented. The rooms very clean and beautifully decorated. Games supplied for family fun. The patio deck had beautiful furnishings. Would book this site again.

    The location was great for us.

    The location was great for us. Enjoyed watching the ocean from the deck. Saturday morning there was a bunch of surfers. Was fun to watch. Keyless entry didn’t work very well so they had a lock box as back up. Was doable. Windows and ceiling fans could use a good cleaning. The rest of the house was clean. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. The bed was comfortable and the house was cozy.

    We love Surfside Beach. It's small and not commercialized.

    We love Surfside Beach. It's small and not commercialized. If you are a walker or bike rider you literally don't need your car. It's only about 35 minutes from Galveston if you want that vibe, but then you can come "home" to your beach house you are staying in. The beach is so clean and a delight to walk on. The pier is great for fishing or just watching others fish. Watching the ships come in is fun too. Dolphins playing are always so fun to watch. We always do our own cooking, but there are several good restaurants. We've been coming here for years and will continue.

    Nice clean home, in great condition. Very roomy. Perfect for up to 8 people. Just be sure to bring mosquito spray. The outside area is nice although we didn't get to use it because of the rain and short stay. I like that it has a fence that can be closed to be fully enclosed for dogs since this is a pet friendly property.

    The location is great. The house is what you would expect from an older beachfront property. The house and enviroment was clean, especially after dealing with a hurricane not too long ago. The house has wear and tear but not bad. Kitchen was equipped well for the basics.

    Easy access to beach. Like the idea of not having to drive on the beach with your car. Just leave it parked in the hotel parking lot and carry your chairs and umbrella to the beach. Excellent restaurant, friendly and helpful staff, overall very nice facility.
