Excellent location, beautiful room, sparse and clean. The staff were great, they were friendly and remembered me each time I came back to my room. The lounge is fun and comfortable, and they even have a happy hour. That was a great bonus!

The room was very spacious and well equipped. All the equipment were brand new and worked perfectly and bedding was very comfortable. Not to mention, the room was properly kept clean by the non-intrusive and efficient cleaning service. The restaurant and bars (including the roof-top bar in summer) offered qualitative, tasty and varied cuisine regardless the time of the day (breakfast, lunch or dinner). The hotel facilities are well maintained and the service is proactive. The location is also very convenient: 15min walk from the National Mall or the White House. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at Conrad Washington and I would definitely consider including this hotel in my future travel plan in D.C. I would really recommend it for either business or leisure travelers who are looking for a nice place to stay in Washington D.C.

We spent just one night here, but I wish it was more! This hotel was beautiful and had a heap of history. Despite its age, it was wonderfully refurbed and so well appointed. The room was huge, the bed comfortable and the bathroom was stunning. The shower was huge and glorious. I loved the location as well, it was easy to walk to some major monuments and museums. It was the perfect spot for our quick trip. We tried to have breakfast, but hadn't thought about the fact it was a Saturday during the Christmas holidays, so it was really busy and we didn't have time. So if you're there on a weekend, go to breakfast early! I can also highly recommend The Hamilton restaurant that was nearby. ALSO, if you want to do the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, be sure to 'book' your tickets well in advanced. While they are free, their popularity is off the chart so they ticket it.

    There were crow bar marks on the door by the lock.

    There were crow bar marks on the door by the lock. The room stunk like cigarettes. The sink clogged easily. There were burn hole marks from cigarettes in the blankets and the sheets. The fixtures in the bathroom were all loose, some were rusted. The bath was missing the drain ring. We had to stack suitcases between the door and the tv stand to feel a sense of security. They wouldn't give us an extra pillow for our 5 year old. Buyer beware!

    Love Takoma Park.

    Love Takoma Park. I have lived here for many many years and chose to stay here in the area while here. you have shopping all around you. You have public transportation at your door step. You have carry outs (Tony's Villa) you have Sardi's to sit down and eat in and a Indian resturant. there is also a community center for activities. Mainly the Sligo creek for long nature walks. It's an awesome area to be in.

    Make on website the booking is accurate .. when people do checkin shouldn’t get a problem .. reception atleast one more stuff to save the time of the guest .. it’s take us 40 minutes to get our room key .. plus was disappointed about my breakfast seem I was in a shame with my family having breakfast included in our package .. couldn’t help

    We didn't spend time exploring as we only needed a place to...

    We didn't spend time exploring as we only needed a place to sleep (stay was only 8.5 hrs). Surroundings were indicative of a college town (crowded, "affordable" to college kids?). Served our purpose. Roads were under construction and not exactly friendly to navigate.
