This was such a Great Getaway!
This was such a Great Getaway! Everything was clean and the staff was so friendly and helpful in every way. It was a Unique Experience with an outside deck and fire pit. Enjoyed stay in 29 Palms very much, more than I had planned for. We had good food at the Pie in the Sky Pizza place and at 29 Palms Inn. Also did a little shopping at The Rock House and visited several street vendors. Joshua Tree National Park was wonderful. Absolutely beautiful. Had no idea rocks could be so fascinating. We did a little hiking in the morning and then stargazed in the park at night. We also attended an art exhibit at the Glass Outhouse. It was really fun and so much to see. I can't say that I would ever visit Twentynine Palms again...
I can't say that I would ever visit Twentynine Palms again unless I was intending to go to Joshua Tree National Park, or my car broke down and was forced to stay. It's a pretty rough dry place with not much happening. We visited the actual 'Twentynine Palms' administration visitor centre site and it was quite a disappointment. The lady at the reception was really lovely and greeted us with a huge smile. There is a large parking around the hotel and the hotel is located in the middle of the desert mountains so quite a nice view outside. The breakfast was included and it was pretty decent. There is a great BBQ restaurant only a few minutes drive from the hotel (Rib & Co) and we have had the best ribs in our life at that place!
