    I only live 30 min north of Vancouver, my reason for visiting was my pets and 4th of July noise. If you are visiting the Portland Or/Vancouver area, the Vancouver side of the river is just less crowded than the Portland side. For a very good meal, Little Italy downtown Vancouver has been one of my favorites for several years great food and good people. Visiting especially down town Portland, I would recommend driving to the Van Port park and ride then take the yellow line train into down town, way easier and cheaper than paying for parking downtown. If it is raining go to the expo center park and ride, it's the end of the line there is always a train there so you can wait inside the train. In Portland, every one uses the train. And umbrellas are for tourist lol

    Waterfront is well done, better than expected restaurants, Amaro's Table and Wild Finn were my favorites, not usually a Detroit pizza fan but the Crust Collective changed my mind. The Steak Sandwich at Amaro's was excellent, Salmon at Wild Finn was as well.

    There is plenty to see and do for all ages.

    There is plenty to see and do for all ages. Access to food and events within walking distance. Beautiful waterfront lined with restaurants, weekend events like saturday market, street musicians. Historial sites in this downtown location. Main street shopping (retail/resale) stores close. Fun coffee, brewery, and multiple variety of food cafes in the area. Easy access to the freeway. Overall, wonderful and fun area. Only challenge was PARKING!!! But, a great walking area if weather permits. With a motorized scooter or wheelchair, everything is accessible. Children can ride there bikes around the area. Did see some skateboarders. There is a popular ice cream shop on waterfront avenue.( a most visit) I loved Wildfin Restaurant (the salmon and salads) for a nice dining experience. Seating in-doors or outdoor riverview. Gourmet chefs prepared dishes were awsome!

    Went to waterfront Vancouver and absolutely lovely.

    Went to waterfront Vancouver and absolutely lovely. Went to RV style Ampitheater and will arrive at shuttle 30 minutes before first shuttle and food was awful at venue but really enjoyed everything else about venue and show!

    It is a short drive to the airport and the attractions in Oregon and Washington. Very nice safe and clean city. Latte Da is a lovely cafe. We had great food at Frontier Pubic House and other restaurants in Vancouver.

    from where i am living now , your city is wonderful. cool air, slight rain and mist, very nice land scaped town, flowers on all the street corners, friendly people, and most of all, the green trees every where, and the mountains. the food in town, is great, also the farmers market, was a hit. i did not know if i would like the town or not, but my wife and i were blown away, on how wonderful your town is. PS next time i am there, i might get to see BIGFOOT.

    Good location and easy access to routes out of the city, which meant we were able to get down by the Waterfront and also the trips to Columbia River Gorge and Mount St. Helens. There are a few chain restaurants within walking distance as well as the Vancouver Mall. Large comfortable room. Helpful staff. Good guest laundry facilities.

    Great room for a family. 2 separate bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Big open living area. There is a small kitchen, but it has everything you need to make a meal. The morning breakfast has a small selection as they were renovating during our stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

    The room was exactly what it needed to be. The beds were comfortable and clean, the room and bathroom too. I loved that they didn't charge additionally for pets, and the ice machine in the hallway worked.
