If you are just one person and just need s place to sleep...

If you are just one person and just need s place to sleep for one or two nights, its okay. The bathroom was great just what my hubby needed with all the safety bars!! The bed is not a queen-even tho I measured it and technically it was! For people that toss and turn, it was not for the to I had to sleep in one spot like a mummy while my hubby moved all over!! Everything else was ok,I guess!!! Panera,Golden Corral, Cracker barrel were right near by for breakfast and, for all other, we were right on the main street-highway. Make sure you have a cell phone with a GPS as there are NO maps for the basic places!

Waynesboro, is a better choice for people on a budget traveling to see Shenandoah National Park Valley Area. When I started to plan our trip I noticed that if we choose to stay in a hotel in Staunton,VA it was more expensive, probably because it is convenient for people traveling on I-81. Also there is this great Japanese restaurant, Silk Road with great food.

We stayed here as part of the plan we made to visit Thomas Jefferson's Monticello mansion in Charlottesville. It is cheaper to stay in Waynesboro even though it is only about 25-30 miles away. Waynesboro lies just off the north side of Instate 64 is less than a mile east of Interstate 81.The Shanondoah National Park's Skyline Drive is just east also,

A nice town with a charming downtown area.

A nice town with a charming downtown area. Lots of restaurants both local and chains. Great mountain views while traveling around town. A good selection of hotels and shopping . A good place to start your drive along the blue ridge parkway.

The trip to Waynesboro was great because I have family there and was my main reason for the visit. As far as the stay, it was ok but more than I had originally been prepared to pay. Reason being, the Booking.com agent that booked me booked me in Waynesboro, VA. I wasn't aware of until I reached my destination and was told I had no reservation. I confirmed everything before leaving just to make

A large concert was in the region and we finally found rooms in Roanoke. We could not stay in Waynesboro because of the absurd prices.
