It's an attraction venue, there's shopping centers and the Weeki Wachee attraction across the street from the Motel 6 which includes a mermaid show and Buccaneer Bay and some Bird shows and live mermaids. There's the Weeki Wachee River and to my understanding the beginning of that River starts at Weeki Wachee attractions the head of the spring. This is nature and adventure at its very best! Can't wait to go back! We felt no reason to leave our surroundings, nothing could have been better. The house was perfect for our group of five, but could easily accommodate many more having a connected upstairs and downstairs yet fully furnished to accommodate two separate living situations. There are plenty of kayaks, etc. for exploring, and you'll want to explore as it is a world where you can get up close and personal with your natural surroundings, kayak and swim with the manatees, dolphins, and other sea creatures (free of charge).Guest review byschmidt - 2.0

HORRIBLE PROPERTY !!! DO NOT STAY THERE! Populated with derelicts people living full time there, smoking and "hanging there" all over the place.. Didn't feel safe at all. The hotel didn't had hot water during my stay, yes you read it: no hot water !.. It was winter and water at the shower was glacial! Unacceptable when you have a 12 year old child. Pool was closed. I didn't had the option to cancel because I had made my reservation through this website here and it wasn't refundable, hotel manage told me to deal with booking dot com customer service which I did but went nowhere beside a $25 compensation on cash credit, an insult! We had a great time at Weeki Wachee! My advice would be to get there early. At least 30 minutes before the park opens so that you can guarantee yourself a spot. Definitely check out the Mermaid show, it's adorable. The swimming area itself is pretty small for the amount of people in the park. The lazy river was one of our favorite things to do. It's $9 per tube but unlimited access is worth it. The riverboat tour was a little disappointing but all in all it was a great day. It's a beautiful spring.Guest review byCaitlinUnited States - 8.0

Enjoyed the Ranger Adventure show with live animals and informative lecture on native plants and animals. Especially liked "The Lady and The Owl". Mermaid show was entertaining, it was a cold February day, but they performed with big smiles on their faces. All areas were Accessible to all ages. Enjoyed our visit!!Guest review byHenry
