The area has a lower-middle class, sparse, rural feel. Lots of inexpensive motels, fast-food eateries and strip-mall stores intermixed with--NOTHING. There is a great deal of homelessness. I bought food and necessities from a convenient supermarket across the street and discovered how the local transit bus system worked.
