A Truly Amazing Experience! Our stay at Trang An Lamia Bungalow was absolutely fantastic! Kim, An, and Dan are incredibly kind and always ready to help with anything – their service is outstanding. The surroundings are breathtaking, with stunning mountains, beautiful rice fields, and the most picturesque bungalows. The food is both delicious and affordable, making every meal a treat. What makes this place even more special is the atmosphere – all the guests feel like friends, and everyone can easily connect and chat. There are amazing opportunities for exploration, including trips to breathtaking temples and canoe rides through stunning waterways, where you not only paddle around the majestic mountains but also inside them! I could not fault my stay at Tam Coc Wonderland Bungalow. An amazing place to stay if you are in Ninh Binh from the location to Tam Coc, the staff, the rooms and don't even get me started on the breakfast. As I am a solo traveller they organized a motor bike to take me around all of the sites. 10/10.

We just checked out from this wonderful homestay and couldn’t be more satisfied with our stay. Everything exceeded our expectations. The place is spotlessly clean, and we appreciated the small but thoughtful touches like fresh towels for the shower, hands, and pool, as well as large bottles of shampoo and shower gel provided in the bathroom. What made our stay truly special was the kindness and care of the owner. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a smooth and memorable experience. She helped us plan our entire day, guided us on where to buy boat tickets, and was always available to assist. She even helped us find a private driver at an affordable price to reach our next destination during a storm, which was a challenge on our own. The homestay also provides free bicycles anytime, which made it easy and fun to explore the area. Breakfasts were generous, delicious, and served with a beautiful view from the rooftop — a perfect way to start the day. The owner was also thoughtful enough to warn us about the next day’s weather so we could adjust our plans in advance. Overall, this is not just a place to stay — it truly felt like home. We’re deeply grateful for the owner’s warm hospitality and personal attention. Highly recommended!

Everything, from the time we arrived, our host Linda was great. She welcomed us with ice tea (perfect for the hot weather). Our room was large, comfortable and very clean. We could hire bikes and do our laundry for very affordable $$. Linda have us gives tips on where to eat and what to see in Ninh Binh and Tam Coc. We have been travelling for a month, Thailand and Laos, and this place has been our favourite by far.

    We spent two days in Ninh Binh and could have easily spent a...

    We spent two days in Ninh Binh and could have easily spent a day or two longer. It's a very laid back area and there is lots to see. We stayed between Trang An and Tam Coc and used bicycles to get around. The quieter location suited us but for younger travellers Tam Coc is more vibrant. The walk to the top of Hang Mua viewpoint is best done in the early morning (we went before breakfast) so it isn't too crowded and not too hot. There were mountain goats roaming around when we walked up (around 7.00am) but they'd gone by the time we descended and more people were arriving. We didn't take the boat ride in Tam Coc but we took a boat ride in Trang An. The scenery seems more mountainous around Trang An than Tam Coc. On the day we went the water was high so we couldn't go into the caves and there was only one route open, which seemed to be a mix of the other routes. The boat trip lasted around 2.5 hours and was excellent. We also visited the old town at night, which was nice. It's all lit up and there are some good places to eat on the waterfront. Bich Dong temple is also worth visiting. There is a staircase leading up to a smaller shrine and to the left of that there is a passage through a bat cave and up to another small shrine outdoors.

    The view is stunning.

    The view is stunning. I was shocked of how beautiful and cleaned this city is. You can enjoy cycling around the city under the quiet, historic and cultural atmosphere. At the famous landmarks, there was no scam or shoving, hustling, jostling. The goat meat in Ninh Binh is so delicious

    Overall, the experience was very good.

    Overall, the experience was very good. Trang An and Mua Cave were absolutely must-visit places—stunning and unforgettable. If there’s one small note, I found that prices around Tam Coc were a little higher compared to Trang An, but it didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment of the trip.

    My visit to Ninh Binh was only to visit Cuc Phuong National...

    My visit to Ninh Binh was only to visit Cuc Phuong National Park and I caught the end of the butterfly migration which was an exceptional, never to be forgotten experience. The nearest ATM to Wyndham Grand is only a 5 minute drive away but it is advisiable to bring cash to pay taxi drivers, shops and the National Park entrance fee. Taxis are easy to arrange and fairly reasonably priced. It is common to agree a price for a round trip and often the driver will wait for you, sometimes for several hours.

    Hoa Lu, the ancient capital is a great place to visit, pls book the tour guide who can help you to understand the place, pls spend time for walking around, even climd up the mountain to see the whole landscape. We did have a great time and we enjoyed it a lot. Thung Nham is another place worth visiting, especially at 5pm when all the birds are flying back home, it is fantastic view to see and enjoy Night market with long walk along the river is another great experiences. The food, the people and the landscape of Ninh Binh: wonderful!

    We loved the place so much we even extended our stay! Everything is super clean, the food and a la carte breakfast is delicious, the staff is fantastic and the rooms are very nice and large. Also, they offer free bikes, which allows you to go to Ninh Binh or Tam Coc quickly. This is the nicest place we stayed at during our vacation in Vietnam so far. Last but not least, the price per night is quite cheap for what you get!

    The hotel is very close to two famous places in Ninh Binh: Hang Mua and Tam Coc, just around 2–5 km away. The room is clean and warmly lit. The receptionist and host are very enthusiastic. If you’re visiting Ninh Binh, you can ask her for food recommendations—she will suggest good places to eat. Additionally, she can help you book tickets for Tam Coc or Trang An if you want to visit. A great place to stay during the trip!

    I had an incredible stay here. The hosts made me feel very welcome and were accommodating to anything I needed. The rooms were spacious, quiet, and had great natural light. And the daily breakfast was one of the best I've had after three months of hotel stays. If you're coming to the Ninh Binh/Tam Coc area, I would highly recommend staying here. I will definitely be back if I'm in the area again!

    The hoster is really nice! The hotel has a great location when arriving to Tam Coc by bus. (Don't try to go to Ninh Binh). Renting a scooter is also very cheap and you Can count on them! Thank you once again.
