We came to Peje to go hiking in the nearby hills on the newly established Balkan Trail. An infrastructure to support walkers is in its early days, but easy enough to figure nonetheless. The weather was chilly, but we still enjoyed our 3 days.
The weather was chilly, but we still enjoyed our 3 days. The area is beautiful and we will need to return during the summer months to explore the mountains. The people were unbelievably friendly (as in all of Kosovo). We made friends with the workers at Coki's Pizzeria near the river. We also enjoyed the walk along the trail on the southern side of the river. There is a small little place to have coffee on the opposite side of the river where you cross the bridge. I was surprised and happy that is was very quiet in the room, it was very good for sleeping. The room was big and overall clean and had a lot of space for clothing whst was very nice. Also we had a small balcony, sadly without anything to sit outside.The stuff was very nice and helpful with all our wishes and questions. On the terrace you have a very nice view over Pejë. The staff were very friendly and helpful (especially the lady at reception!), the family room was a good size, clean and comfortable, and the underground parking in such a central location was very welcome after our long drive.
