This place is a gem amd what a lovely welcome we had. Conrad and his team are amazing, the rooms and the whole hotel is decorated with taste, the service is perfect and the breakfast is from heaven. I would recommend this place to everyone looking to extend the magic in Franschhoek and have an exceptional experience. We opted for the room with private pool, gorgeous!! How long do you have? This hotel was nothing short of exceptional. The concept that it is your home away from home hits every note. The staff are wonderful. The grounds are beautiful. Our room was so lovely, we didn't want to leave. Every moment spent here felt special. A typical day would be to go for a morning run - safe and with stunning views all around, it was a great way to start the day, Alter you come back for an incredibly delicious breakfast. Then get ready to either lounge by our private plunge pool or the main pool. If we wanted to go to town the main street was a 3 minute walk away which was perfect and anywhere just a little further, they arranged a car for us. Before heading to dinner, they offered aperitives and you can sit in the beautiful orangery, play scrabble, listen to live piano and enjoy a beverage. Excellent restaurants a walk away and coming home to a night cap offering. Back in the room, we would heat up the hot tub - the weather was perfect for it! Then a great nights sleep only to repeat the same magic the next day! But it wasn't just all of this. It was also the attention to detail. Every lounger by the pool had towels, a hat. Rooms were quipped with sun creams, beautiful woven beach bags and blankets for chilly nights by the fire. Everything had been thought of and nothing extra we could have asked for. Had it not been so fully booked, we would have stayed longer.

    Franschoek is a historic gem with a touch of French ambience in a magnificent panoramic setting with vineyards and exellent wineries.Little Brook is next to a mountain stream amongst old oak trees overlooking the meadows and high mountains. Great destination with quality restaurants and safe shopping areas. A Tru gem!

    We always enjoy visiting Franschoek.

    We always enjoy visiting Franschoek. During this trip, we found a place which seems to be very special and different from the surrounding luxurious wine estates, The Franschhoek Station Pub & Craft Bar. It is a very down to earth vibey place full of history with its Herbert Baker heritage architecture, standing as a reminder of the bustling railway activity that once existed in Franschoek. We enjoyed a nice Sunday lunch, a few beers from a wide selection, and the live music. There is a play area for the children near the seating area perfect for the visiting families. On a Monday morning, we had coffee and a healthy breakfast at the Brunch Club on Main Rd Franschoek. Reasonable prices and a nice atmosphere. Nice place to work from for the laptop nomads. Parking on Main Rd Franschoek on a Monday morning is R5 per 30minutes, and the parking assistant insisted that I swipe my card for R5 and if I return and it is more than R5, I must swipe it again. I informed her the bank charges will be higher than R5 and she said, she knew that. She did not accept cash, and would not let us pay when we return so that the amount is a little higher than R5 to justify the bank fees. Its a reminder that the government will always find a way to mess up your day and to remind you to be creative. We were driving a bakkie (pick up truck), so we found a loading zone (yellow lines labelled with a yellow "L") and parked there for free. In SA you can park your pick up truck on a loading zone free of charge. In the same premises where the The Franschhoek Station Pub & Craft Bar is, is the Pick n Pay Supermarket which was still open on Sunday afternoon for grocery shopping. The Franschoek hospice shop is also in the same premises, for the bric a brac treasure hunters and those who wish to support this charity. Franschoek is full of surprises for those who look!

    Franschhoek is a wonderful little town in the heart of the winelands. There are a plethora of great vineyards to visit, excellent restaurants and our Grandson really enjoyed the Motor Museum. It's an easy 1 hour drive from Cape Town.

    The Belmont was amazing! We just stayed for one night as we were in Franschhoek to visit the town and go on the Wine Tram. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and very friendly. The hotel itself is excellently located. It’s nearby to a lot of cafes, restaurants and shops. The room was outstanding. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was well equipped with towels for the pool as well. The products they provided were also very nice! I would come back again, our only regret is that we didn’t get to stay longer.

    We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location was absolutely perfect—very central, making it easy to explore Franschhoek. The rooms were spotlessly clean and had a cosy charm, especially with the little fireplace, which added such a lovely touch. Although we were initially worried about the smoke detectors when lighting the fireplace, everything worked out perfectly. The breakfast was good, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

    A wonderful hotel and very friendly and attentive hosts who always go above and beyond. We had a very beautiful and clean room, all the interior design elements were well chosen. The entire interior of the hotel well conveys the atmosphere of the city of Franschhoek. The hotel is well located. If there are not enough spaces on site, there is free convenient parking very close. The breakfast is amazing, very tasty and beautifully presented.

    The hotel is in a great location, only a short Uber ride to Franschhoek. We stayed in a junior suite and it was very nice. High quality linen & towels. Very clean, Nespresso in the room. Pool area is very tranquil and relaxing.
