Gansbaai was a comfortable city with spectacular views where our family explored the southern coast of South Africa. We discovered hidden beaches, spotted many beautiful Protea flowers, sunbathed on Pearly Beach, went to the fish market in the harbor at Gansbaai, lunched on butter chicken and fish and chips at the Blue Goose, restaurant on Hoop St, hiked Klipgat Caves at the Walker Bay Nature Reserve, glimpsed a pod of orcas, and a mother Southern Right whale and her calf, spotted three of the Marine Big 5, dined at the White House, saw Danger Point lighthouse along a four wheel drive track along the beach, found crazy amounts of beautiful shells on the beach. The pictures don't do it justice. We also had Christmas dinner with amazing food and a good breakfast. The small indoor poor is also nice to just relax after arriving in the evening before dinner, especially in warm days. The place seems to be a personal home but also used for a hotel.
