We all loved George.
We all loved George. It is so close to so many attractions and beautiful areas. It is a good base to be at to do day trips. George is so clean, and no potholes. We wished that we had more time to look around. We had a fantastic meal at Cula restaurant.Guest review byRoslynAustralia - 4.0
What wasn't closed for Easter was mostly booked out.
What wasn't closed for Easter was mostly booked out. Not much to do or see. Beaches overdeveloped or off limits to non residents. Not a tourist friendly town. Nearby "Wilderness" was a joke with SAN Parks waiting to fleece overseas visitors just to go for a walk. Four days of disappointment.Guest review byJohnAustralia - 10.0
George is well situated to give access to plenty of lovely...
George is well situated to give access to plenty of lovely tourist attractions. From there it is easy to get to beautiful beaches and do some mountain trips. E.G the Power Van trip up the Outeniqua Mountains. The Red Berry farm with the largest permanent hedge maze in the Southern Hemisphere. Plenty of hiking and mountain bike opportunities in the George area. Home to the Outeniqua Country market, but yet close enough to other must visit places like Wildernis, Mosselbaai, etc. You are also spoilt for choice when it comes to shopping and stunning restaurants. We were welcomed by our host Ken . What a great host he is . Showed us the apartment which was much more than expected. A great place to have spent more than one day. Everything we needed was there and more. Lounge , huge kitchen and a huge bathroom with shower and a bath . Perfect safe parking behind a security gate.
