We all loved George.

What wasn't closed for Easter was mostly booked out.
What wasn't closed for Easter was mostly booked out. Not much to do or see. Beaches overdeveloped or off limits to non residents. Not a tourist friendly town. George is well situated to give access to plenty of lovely...
George is well situated to give access to plenty of lovely tourist attractions. From there it is easy to get to beautiful beaches and do some mountain trips. E.G the Power Van trip up the Outeniqua Mountains. The Red Berry farm with the largest permanent hedge maze in the Southern Hemisphere. Plenty of hiking and mountain bike opportunities in the George area. Home to the Outeniqua Country market, but yet close enough to other must visit places like Wildernis, Mosselbaai, etc. You are also spoilt for choice when it comes to shopping and stunning restaurants. It is a city with a town feel.
It is a city with a town feel. The people are friendly and helpful. The traffic is not bad and everyone drives in a civil manner. There are a lot to see, historical buildings and the Botanical Gardens, with an Italian restaurant and a Birds of Prey sanctuary was the highlight of my trip. The room was spotless, spacious, and had a really comfortable bed and modern amenities like a working hairdryer and efficient AC. Jaco and Ria were incredibly friendly and helpful. The wifi was a top notch, and DSTV was making it feel like home. The view of the Outeniqua mountain was spectacular The overall experience was excellent value for money.
