    Beautiful little village feel.

    Beautiful little village feel. Lovely for a weekend break and the location is picturesque. Big tip: book online at the restaurants before you come. Most places only accept online bookings and they get full really quickly!!

    Melkbosstrand is a lovely, unpretentious old-fashioned...

    Melkbosstrand is a lovely, unpretentious old-fashioned seaside town with a long, firm beach along the Atlantic ocean. There are supermarkets, filling stations, restaurants and coffee bars for each taste and budget. Nearby is a championship golf course and sports centre with Padel and tennis courts. The West Coast offers many attractions and is delightfully open and wild, yet easily accessible from Cape Town and the International airport.

    The host is unfriendly and the facilities poor.

    The host is unfriendly and the facilities poor. Although the location is fantastic, short stays will be less frustrating. There is bore hole water and when the electricity goes off, either because of load shedding or just because, and this happens all the time, there is no emergency lighting (even if the owner have solar) and no water. This venue is not customer focused.

    I liked the walking paths, shops and restaurants.

    I liked the walking paths, shops and restaurants. The people are very friendly and kind. The scenery is also a winner. Only one downside, is the early closing time of the restaurants on the weekends. Avoid going out for a late snack, as most places will be closed. (We had to drive to Table View for Steers)

    It was my third visit to Melkbosstrand, and I always love...

    It was my third visit to Melkbosstrand, and I always love the peace and serenity of it. It will surely not be my last visit. Dinner at Damhuis was superb, and breakfast from Simple Bru Coffee Co was also fantastic. A weekend to remember for sure

    A wonderfull home away from.The hospitality from the hostess was a breath of fresh air and she was very accommodating to all our needs. The quiteness of the neighbourhood was a welcome respite. The views from the balcony and upper living area is wonderfull and all facilities in the home is excellent.Melkbosstrand is really a little gem of place! Can definitely recommend Hilton Cove Beach House for any family or groups wanting to stay in Melkbosstrand! Thank you for your hospitality L!

    The location, alongside the 10th fairway where tortoise, antelope (springbok red buck and mixed), mongoose and birds galore roam daily. Rooms are comfortable, bathrooms well appointed. Breakfast is simple but varied. Easy access to the clubhouse, golf course and leisure center or just a short drive into old Melkbosstrand to access some good eateries. The staff are great, nothing can't be done or organized.

    We had a fantastic stay at Melkbosstrand Bed and Breakfast. Delicious breakfast with very friendly chef! The friendly host was kind enough to allow me to smoke outside the room and added an ashtray close to the door. We were informed prior to our stay of a possible problem with the geyser, which was in effect working 100%

    Location was good as the view from the deck and lounge was basically uninterrupted. Melkbosstrand is also a bit out of the busy Cape Town but near enough to visit the main attractions there. We love Melkbos!
