Swellendam is a stunning town.
Swellendam is a stunning town. All the comforts you need are there and at the same time you can get away into the mountains and outer areas. There are good restaurants and coffee shops and great activities around the area. Mountain biking is what I would go for, but our stay was too short. A beautiful little town with a lot to see, do and eat. The restaurants are top notch. We ate at De Vagebond for Supper their food was fantastic with great and friendly service, then we had breakfast at La Belle Alliance their view, food and service were tops. We also had a breakfast at Aan de Eike Guest House, it is a beautiful modern restaurant with lekker food and friendly service. The town is so clean and absolutely beautiful. We love going there. The town was a 30 minute pleasant walk had various restaurants& fast food places We booked De Vagerbond restaurant a really nice meal I had ostrich steak it was delicious. All the basic amenities where there, with a fridge, microwave, induction stove and kettle. Bed was comfortable. There is a gravel road around the farm which takes about 30 minutes, and we saw more animals than we saw at the game reserve in Swellendam that we went to the previous day.
