Swellendam is a stunning town.
Swellendam is a stunning town. All the comforts you need are there and at the same time you can get away into the mountains and outer areas. There are good restaurants and coffee shops and great activities around the area. Mountain biking is what I would go for, but our stay was too short. A beautiful little town with a lot to see, do and eat. The restaurants are top notch. We ate at De Vagebond for Supper their food was fantastic with great and friendly service, then we had breakfast at La Belle Alliance their view, food and service were tops. We also had a breakfast at Aan de Eike Guest House, it is a beautiful modern restaurant with lekker food and friendly service. The town is so clean and absolutely beautiful. We love going there. The town was a 30 minute pleasant walk had various restaurants& fast food places We booked De Vagerbond restaurant a really nice meal I had ostrich steak it was delicious. Staff all most kind and delighted, and surprised to have my car cleaned. Quite unexpected. Our room was separate from the main house, all named after a different grape. Sauvignon Blanc was our suite.
