My Kids stayed for one night as my son was cycling in a Road Race in Veldrif. The kids especially mentioned the friendly receptionist. 10/10 for her kindness and service. My son who is very fussy said he would definitely be back to stay.

Location and apartment were perfect an interesting design and concept - very spacious with everything needed for a few days or for a couple of weeks. The apartment was easy to access and very nicely furnished. Kitchen and all appliances were as new condition. We thoroughly enjoyed our days at the apartment. The gardens and pool are well kept and nice to wander about in

    A beautiful little fisherman's haven,tourist attraction,near all amenities and for bigger shopping,the Westcoast mall. Best fish n chips ever,freshly baked at Laaiplek harbor. And value for money. Another attraction is the salt pans, Berg River for the famous Duzi Cano marathon,and bokkom fisheries.

    Velddrif is so central and everything is nearby.

    Velddrif is so central and everything is nearby. There is a fantastic SuperSpar nearby which is very well stocked. We found an incredible restaurant right on the beachfront called Zeezicht. The food was exceptional and the staff friendly and attentive. I believe the owner is the chef as well. Went back three times. There is also a delightful ice cream shop at the harbour, Lighthouse Deli - well worth a visit. The ice-creams were thick and creamy and very reasonably priced.

    Best towns in the middle of the west coast.

    Best towns in the middle of the west coast. We enjoyed the Visvlekhuis, day out on the sea fishing, Bokkomlaan etc. We did day trips to Langebaan, West coast national park, Jacobsbaai, Dwarskersbos and Elandsbaai.

    An easy journey from Cape Town.

    An easy journey from Cape Town. We love the location and the surrounds of Lermitage Quagga Lodge: right by the beautiful Berg River with rustling reeds, amazing sunsets, lots of birds and of the course the wonderful quagga and other wildlife. The accommodation was excellent. We were 5 adults and 5 kids (aged 14-5) who could roam freely and safely around the chalets. A wonderful few days.

    We had amazing hikes along the beach walking from St Jacobs...

    We had amazing hikes along the beach walking from St Jacobs Bay in the direction of Paternoster. Had lunch at Russels on the Port and Dinner at De See Kat in Paternoster. Both were really nice, Paternoster's restaurant more upmarket.

    Velddrif is a quirky town with a lot of character and...

    Velddrif is a quirky town with a lot of character and magnificent bird life. If you are a nature lover you will adore Velddrif. We stayed just past Velddrif in Dwarskersbos which, although its a little further out of town, had the most beautiful beach with millions of little shells. Special!

    We had an extremely pleasant stay. The property was well equipped and all told we did not lack anything - everything from a match box to a stove plate was there. The property is well located and has an atmosphere of safety and tranquility. We really enjoyed every moment. The host, Marlene, treated us with helpfulness as if like long-standing friends. We can strongly recommend Kingfisher, Velddrif.

    The hotel was locked up and I couldnt get in and also tried calling and calling but no one answered their phone. Had to go and find another hotel. Absolutely appalling and when I called them for refund, they werent even interested and told me they closed the hotel at 3pm on a sunday. Disgusting to say the least. they also told me I had no booking - ridiculous when I have a confirmed booking.
