The buildings of this farm guesthouse are very nice and spacious and also decorated with love. We arrived a bit earlier than planned, but the lady at the reception was very kind and allowed us in. Our room was very nice and cozy with a beautiful view. The kitchen is nice and well-designed. Shared showers might be a bit tricky when you try to adjust the temperature, but in general, everything is clean and comfy. The "Social area" in our house was superb, very cozy both for couples (like us) and small companies (for example, to play boardgames at a big table). Breakfast was nice, with more options than in most other guesthouses on our way. And make sure to try their own farm ice cream!

Very nice place in an amazing part of Iceland. The host was very friendly and came to see if everything is OK. The place is magnificent and the house is fully equipped (fridge, oven, washing machine... exactly what we needed at half of our journey). You can prepare your own supper / breakfast and eat on the patio or inside with a view on the lake. We did the Diamond Circle from here and the ash volcano across the road 😉 Don't worry about the small flies... they are harmless and all over the Myvatn region... nothing to do with this very place . Highly recommended. Enjoy. 3D

Clearly the best stay we had in Iceland. This is a truly lovely house where you immediately feel part of a family. We were delighted by the warm reception and the cozy, homely atmosphere. The location by the lake is stunning, offering beautiful views. In summer there are many midges, which can be a bit annoying, but that’s the trade-off for such a scenic lakeside setting. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped—you’ll find everything you need, and even some thoughtful extras like coffee and pasta left for guests. It really felt like staying at our grandparents’ home, full of comfort and warmth. A very strong recommendation, especially if you are traveling as a family. We absolutely loved it.
