Wow what an amazing welcome in Sri Lanka. I flew in yesterday evening late at night and the manager came to pick me up from the airport (for free). The room is very good, with A/C, hot water, bottled drinking water. The hospitality of this place is unbelievable. I received a free SIM card (5GB), breakfast in the morning and one of the staff members took me to the bus to Kandy. Actually we needed to chase the bus and I managed to catch it. And so was able to leave a bag here and come to get it when I leave Sri Lanka. I’m a solo female traveller and I felt completely safe. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone .

We had Total privacy in our own little courtyard, that boasted an outside shower! The family went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We left at 5am and the husband drove us to the airport. A few mozzies, but that's to be expected in the tropics. We even got to witness some birds bathing in the bird bath in our private court yard. Everything was perfect!

Everything was beyond perfect. Clean rooms, friendly hosts, great breakfast, nice pool, etc. We had a small issue at the beginning but the host resolved it within a brief moment. We spent the last 2 nights of our holiday in Sri Lanka and could not have been happier. They also offer reasonable priced laundry service which we needed after a stormy travel. My favorite was the Sri Lankan breakfast and of course the pool. We were there during the rain season so we had the pool to ourselves the entire stay. We enjoyed watching birds and chipmunks in a quiet and peaceful environment. There are many places to eat close by and the beach is maybe a 3min walk. We also went for a half day Ayurveda with free pick up & drop off from a poster on one of the walls of the villas. It was the best massage I got in all of Sri Lanka. We will definitely be staying here again next time we visit.

Run by a local family, Villa Shade is a charming and peaceful property surrounded by green gardens, just 4 km from Negombo City. Bicycles are available for rent, while traditional Sri Lankan breakfast is served upon request at an extra cost. Beautiful garden with home grown fruits, the staff is out of his way to assist, the room is perfect and the swimming pool is an amazing treat! Great breakfast and very quiet, calm vibes. We wish we could stay longer.
