I have been fortunate enough to travel the world for over 20 years, but I have never experienced a welcome as warm and genuine as the one I received here. From the moment we arrived, the entire team made us feel like family. Every person was so kind, attentive, and always ready to help—not in a pushy way, but with a quiet, thoughtful presence that made us feel truly at home. There was no pressure to buy anything or do anything we didn’t want to; they were simply there for us, whenever we needed them. What truly stood out was the sense of connection and authenticity. It wasn’t just about being guests in a resort—it was about becoming part of a community. We spent hours chatting, laughing, and learning about each other’s cultures. Everything felt natural, and we became more than just visitors—we became friends. Our kids felt completely embraced by the local people. They roamed freely around the resort, playing and interacting with the community, which gave us the true Fijian experience we were hoping for. The genuine warmth and acceptance we felt here are something we will cherish forever. I have to mention the unforgettable moment when they sang us a goodbye song. It was the first time in my life I almost cried when leaving a place, not because of the departure itself, but because of the beautiful people who had made our stay so special. You could tell that their kindness was not just part of their job, but a reflection of who they truly are. They made us feel so valued, never once making us feel like we were asking for too much. My dear Fijian friends, you truly exceeded all our expectations. We would come back in a heartbeat if we didn’t live so far away. But as they say, “never say never.” My son, Filip, already said that when he grows up, he will bring his family back to this paradise. Thank you again for giving us 5 unforgettable days. Great rooms, excellent staff especially Priscilla and one of the security guards ( helped me change tyre of my car). It’s well located, confortable rooms, well equipped.

As we left Auckland and boarded our Fiji Airways flights (which was great by the way) to Fiji they announced over the tannoy "your journey to paradise begins..." and do you know what, they really weren't wrong. The flight was excellent, our flight arrived on time but despite a delay getting through customs, security and luggage pick-up our driver from the hotel, Kesho, was waiting for us. And that's where our experience really began with The Fiji Orchard. We had a very comfortable drive to the hotel, a transfer of about 35 to 40 minutes in the traffic, in a very comfortable and spacious almost new Toyota Land cruiser. What we didn't realise was that the Fiji Orchid was once the holiday home of Raymond Burr, star of Perry Mason and Ironside, programmes from the 1960s & 1970s. Raymond Burr loved orchids just as much as he loved Fiji, hence the name of the hotel and the restaurant, Raymond's. Upon our arrival at the hotel, 4 or 5 members of staff were waiting to greet us. This was really special, including Ledge who checked us in, a really straight forward, relaxing and easy experience. Everyone was so very happy, in fact everyone that we met was so happy. We felt really welcome from the moment that we arrived. We've read reviews from guests who have criticised the welcome and the check-in process, which is ridiculous, it was lovely. Our bags were taken to our bure whilst we finished our welcome drinks, before we were walked to our bure. There are only 6 bures, so a maximum of twelve guests. The bures are well spread out, each one backs onto its own little bit of the rain forest. Our bure was lovely, it was very clean and spacious. The main area is separated into two areas by curtains, the bedroom and lounge with seating. There's a small desk and chair. Lying in bed late at night listening to the rain was so relaxing.

The staff were fantastic. Made you feel at home and part of their family. The food was exquisite and the free activities were awesome. Nothing was a bother for the staff, always helpful and friendly.

Service by the staff...especially from Mr Manoa..he made my son's birthday celebration just amazing..everything was well organized from cake, sitting arrangement and dinner...his wonderful service made our stay and the purpose of our stay a memorable one ....thanking Mr Manoa the food and beverage manager...and looking forward to stay with you soon

Everything was great, and i do not say this very often. Staff super friendly, nice busy atmosphere in bar area but quiet in the rooms, good food, beautiful environment, reasonable price. Congratulations!

We had an exceptional stay at the Tanoa Plaza Hotel. The staff were warm, and welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The rooms were immaculate, modern, and beautifully appointed. The amenities were top-notch, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. Highly recommend.
