We recently had the pleasure of staying at KAILASH BOUTIQUE HOTEL in Thamel, Kathmandu, a true gem nestled in a vibrant location. From the clean, comfortable rooms to the exquisite cuisine (better than the local restaurants we visited!), every aspect of our stay was designed for relaxation and delight. However, what truly set our experience apart was the extraordinary presence of the manager, Dol. From the moment we arrived, Dol exuded warmth, kindness, and an unmistakable passion for hospitality. With decades of experience as a trekking guide, his vast knowledge and resourcefulness was evident in every interaction. His mastery of professionalism, practicality, good sense and great humour is rare even in 5-star deluxe hotel managers. There are many excellent hotel managers out there, but Dol goes above and beyond what can be learned. He welcomed us not merely as guests, but as friends, and he made us feel like our comfort and well-being were among his highest priorities. His genuine care helped make our our stay a memorable journey of discovery and delight. Dol's wisdom and generous spirit provided not only exceptional service but also an inspiring reminder of the beauty of human connection. This is a gem of a place! The views are lovely, staff are incredible, and rooms are lovely. An added plus was all the onground activities they offer (like the tour of the village and nearby hikes). We really enjoyed our stay, I will definitely be coming back next time I'm in Nepal.

This was one of the best stays ever! I loved this place so much! Suraj and his family are such nice people. I really did feel like I was at home with my family. Everyone was so kind and helped me out with everything I needed. The hotel is located directly surrounded by nature and the rooms are very nice. The food at the hotel is amazing too. I'm Vegan and Suraj made sure I always have something to eat. We also had the best tours ever that were organized directly by the hotel. We had a walking tour one whole day and were so lucky, because we had two great guides that are working with this hotel (Som and Surya) and saw many animals. This is something that I will remember my whole life, because on this tour we saw so many animals. We saw crocodiles, many birds, monkeys, deer, rhinos (a baby rhino, rhinos chilling out in the water) and even a tiger (which is an once in a lifetime experience I guess). The guides were both extremely professional and we felt safe the whole time. I wished I could have stayed longer, then I would have done the 3 days walking tour. It was an incredible experience, so a huge thank you to Suraj for organizing everything over the hotel and to our two amazing guides Som and Surya. I would highly recommend booking this hotel! It is an amazing place with a perfect location and it feels like a family stay! Thanks so much to Suraj and his family for the amazing stay! Hope to see you soon again!

Lilly and Ganesh are wonderful. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. They have created a comfortable and beautiful hotel in an very fun location. The 360 degree views from the rooftop are stunning. There are fun places to walk to around the area and beautiful spaces to hang out, work, do yoga and relax. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Every thing Good ambiance, excellent customer service , best hospitality.

This homestay is the most unique and warm experience we had in Nepal. Barang village is easy to get to as it is just a short drive outside of Pokhara. Even though we went in the low season, we got to experience life in the village with this lovely family by helping with chores around the house, visiting the local school, and visiting the nearby waterfall for a swim. Amma's food is delicious and healthy -- we enjoyed learning how to cook Nepalese traditional dishes from her! The rooms are incredibly beautiful and comfortable, with a lovely view. If you want to experience authentic Nepalese culture, this is a must visit!

The furniture was new and well chosen. The desk was practical for working, and the chair in the corner was genuinely comfortable, not just decorative.

We cannot say enough good things about Mr. B’s. This is a budget hotel/cottage in a small village outside a National park, so its offerings are simple but met all of our needs. The room was one of the nicest we had in Nepal (and the cheapest), the food was delicious and the whole experience left us relaxed and refreshed. I am not sure life will ever bring me back to Bardiya, but if it does- this is where I will stay.

The staff are kindness and friendly. They not only provide rooms but also give us sightseeing advice. Mr. Ram in particular is very helpful and support. Breakfast is also delicious. You can eat it on the rooftop while looking at the mountains.

The hotel was in a very peaceful place. The rooms were cosy and comfy. I got very sound sleep. The view of the lake was breathtaking. Everything was perfect. The staffs were so Nice to me.
