Let’s start from the day I booked and reached out to the receptionists, they have been more than helpful and super friendly (something you don’t get to experience very often in other hotels). On my day of arrival (I had a very late check-in), everything worked and was prepared for pick-up (key in key box with code). The room and the bathroom were bigger than expected. Very clean and comfortable bed. I had a room on the street side. It wasn’t too noise, but for a summer day I would recommend you to book a room on the other side. Breakfast was very delicious, a variety of everything (bread, jam, cheese, ham, cornflakes, oat-meal, Jogurt, fruits, fresh juice,…) and not to forget a fresh brewed coffee. Since I had to work on Monday, I was able to take my breakfast upstairs. I had the pleasure to meet the receptionists in-person, each of them have been kind, warm and friendly. Not to forget always a smile on their face. Overall it’s a great hotel with amazing service that you get for a decent price.

As always the staff makes you feel warmly welcomed. I am always staying at this marvellous hotel if I have the chance, thanks to the wonderful staff and the excellent standard of the hotel facilities. It is always clean, comfortable and, exactly as the name suggests, very charming.

Outstanding family run B&B that was charming, clean, and situated in the heart of the Appenzell region with access to unbelievable scenery and hiking. Wonderful hospitality from Abongile who provided all the local knowledge and recommendations. She went above and beyond to help us with a parking ticket as well. Amazing local organic breakfast was provided every morning, with the scrambled eggs in particular a highlight. WiFi was fast!

This Hotel City Weissenstein enjoys a peaceful location at the edge of the pedestrian zone of St. Gallen, close to the old town and the main railway station. Wi-Fi is available for free.

Excellent location, restaurants and shops within 5-10 minutes walking distance and the old town centre is not far. It is next to the station and the bus station, so everything can be easy. We got free bus tickets for the days of stayed there. It is an excellent idea! Big thanks to the hotel! The staff is very polite and helpful! The beds are comfortable, and the breakfast is good.

I had an unexpected upgrade to my room - a very pleasant welcome! The staff were all most helpful and courteous, facilities excellent.

Only the name reminds us of the military. This historic hotel is one of the most beautiful in Switzerland.
