This was such a beautiful surprise. Haven’t enjoyed staying at a hotel in a loooong time. The ladies who run the place are super warm and welcoming. They host all guests for an Apero in the evening (maybe was a Xmas thing, but I loved it a lot) the room is spacious, clean, warm, nicely furnished, has coffee and tea facilities and a minibar. Comfy bed and a couch to lounge on. The dinner at the hotel was spectacular. Very meticulously curated 3 course dinner and the lady chef put all her love and creativity into the dishes. One massive plus: they arranged a welcome corner for my dog with a bed and two bowls.

The modern Hotel Krone is just a 5-minute walk from the banks of Lake Lucerne and Buochs Ferry Port. It features 2 restaurants and a summer terrace with garden lounge.

The staff here is super nice, they offered us a free room upgrade at our arrival, so eventually we got to stay in one of the suites! Super appreciated :) At check-in they gave us a map of Luzern and a visitor card to use the public transport (line 10*) + free Wi-Fi around the city. The room was very cozy and clean. The position is central, yet the room was really quiet, so we got a perfect night of rest. There are some parking spots available in the courtyard for an additional fee of 40 chf per night; we booked a spot in advance so it was easy for us without the stress of having to find a parking :) they even let us leave the car after check-out (we took it back at around 4pm). The reception is open 24h and everyone is nice and available. 100% recommended!!
