Nice clean hotel. The staff was great. They opened the breakfast buffet at 5 am for us alone, when we had to leave early.

The Novotal had suffered a major water leak and were unable to check us in on arrival, whilst they awaited repairs as they had no water at all. They had provided an alternative at their nearby Mercure Hotel, which we found excellent, recently refurbished, very nice rooms and a great breakfast. The managed this difficult situation exceptionally well.

The Mercure Caen Côte de Nacre hotel is located 10 minutes from downtown Caen by tram stopping in front of the hotel and 15 minutes by car from the seaside.
