A truly exceptional small hotel near one of the best beaches in Sri Lanka. We stayed for two nights at first and after a few nights in Galle we returned to Villa Bentota given that the hotel was just so good. The hotel buildings and interiors are really beautiful and clean. The room is cleaned in the morning and the staff also enquires if there is a need to do a second cleaning later during the stay. The surroundings are exceptional. All of the staff at the hotel very helpful (although at least one of them was only in it for the tips) and very professional. Special thanks to Chamod and Malith. The breakfast was amazing and the best we had in the 7 hotels we stayed in Sri Lanka. Lunch and dinner were great as well, offering the option to cook essentially whatever the client likes (of course within limits).

A short 1-minute walk from Bentota Beach, Club Villa provides an outdoor pool and massage treatments. Its air-conditioned rooms are decorated with handwoven batiks and paintings.

It really felt like going back in time; beautifully decorated by Geoffrey Bawa giving the typical tropical movement vibe. Very tranquil place, the garden is stunning, breakfast delicious and you have the luxury of the swimming pool and just a 5 minute walk away also the quiet beach. The train running through the garden only every once in a while makes it extra special. The noise never bothered me while I am a light sleeper (as of midnight until +/- 05:00 the train doesn't pas by anymore anyway). There are many guests who have been coming back for years. That already says enough. The staff is incredibly friendly. Absolutely loved it here, thank you for this special experience and truly hope to come back in the future!

From reception, Bell boy , housekeeping, restaurant, everything was to our satisfaction. complements to the staff. and thanks for making our stay memorable. Extraordinary place, super friendly staff. The warm welcome by our hosts made you feel at home immediately. The pool is one of the biggest in Sri Lanka with a real pool bar. Breakfast was super tasty, a wide range of different food to choice from. In the hotel bar you could taste the best cocktails while playing snooker & pool all with a live band in the background. Every staff member took the time for a friendly chat and were very compassionate and flexible Special thank you for my friend the porter who was smiling all the time and off course Amanda, our host, who combines professionalism with friendliness as I never have seen before.. Always available for a friendly talk and very resourceful.
