With unique styles and hardwood floors, all rooms at Saintlo Ottawa Jail Hostel have access to shared bathrooms. Cool hostel! Good location, city centre 7mins walking (shopping centre right there as well). Good break from typical hostels. Had a single cell. It was clean, big kitchen, good breakfast (bagels, cheese, jams, coffe, fruit, eggs). Luggage storage available too. Only thing I missed in the room was a small shelf, otherwise it was all good. There is a special acoustics as it was a prison but my floor wasn't loud. Recommended!

ByWard Blue Inn serves a daily breakfast and afternoon tea. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire hotel. Free laptop computers are available in the lobby upon request. This property offered the best facilities in the room that we have encountered in 3 weeks travel. The small kitchenette provided a tea pot and tea bags ( welcomed by us Brits !) as well as good coffee machine. The Bsthroom was well appointed including an enlarged mirror. Shower was powerful and all very clean. The Breakfast was brilliant with full choice from fruit and yoghurt through croissants and cooked egs and bacon. The best we have been offered in an inclusive price. Location was excellent with only 5 mins stroll into Byword Market and 10 mins to Parliament hill. This was all brilliant for us as we didn’t have long in the city. This was a great hotel offering good value for money in central location.
