Newly built in 2014, The Passage in Basel is a centrally located design hotel featuring a sauna, a fitness centre, free WiFi access and air-conditioned rooms. The Basel SBB Train Station is 850 metres away. I loved the room- it was exceptionally cozy, impeccably clean, and pleasantly warm. The breakfast was excellent, and the central location was ideal.

The Hotel Alexander is located right at the Messe Basel fairgrounds and the Congress Centre, a 7-minute ride from the centre of Basel. The tram stop is right outside. Free Wi-Fi is available.

The restaurant Alexander serves Swiss specialties and offers different Pizza varieties and delivery service in the hotel. Location is perfect, very easy to get there from the airport and then all the sights can be easily reached on foot or by tram. Breakfast was delicious and there was a good choice of things. The room was super clean with a nice bathroom. The bed was comfy and the whole room was quiet so nights were relaxing. Even the late (after midnight) check-in could be solved.

The Wettstein hotel is located in a central residential quarter of Basel, 200 metres from the Rhine river, and offers you garage parking, free Wi-Fi and a free internet station.

All rooms have a cable TV, a large work desk and a free minibar with soft drinks and beer. The patio is beautiful and so peaceful. The staff is so nice and make you feel like home. The breakfast is delicious. These all make you feel very prepared for a day of hard work. The beds, sheets and pillows are soft and comfortable. I also liked the bathroom, the towels, the decorating, lamps, light, etc. I wish to stay next year here too.

The Hotel Victoria offers traditional hospitality and modern hotel comforts in the centre of Basel next to the main train station (SBB). You will be enchanted by the unique atmosphere of this stylish hotel. I had one of the corner rooms, 206. Was really spacious and comfortable. Breakfast I rated as good. Love the fresh orange juice, the quality of the bread and pastries. As a vegetarian I missed some options, to replace the cold cuts and some fresh vegetables would have been nice.

The Central City Hotel Rochat is housed in a historic, listed building in the old town of Basel. The accommodation enjoys a central and very quiet location close to the university and the cantonal hospital. The hotel has a small garden and free WLAN. Its great location close to the city centre, its spacious and comfortable rooms and, most important, its very friendly and helpful staff! Many thanks to Kristina and her colleagues!

The family-run GAIA Hotel Basel can be found right across from Basel Main Train Station, only a 10-minute walk from the historic city centre. All rooms include a minibar which is refilled every second day and which can be used free of charge. The staff were extremely wonderful & friendly. Very willing to go the extra mile to make our stay fabulous! We were able to check in an hour early & they allowed us to check out 2 & a half hours late. It was so hot out they offered us water bottles every time we passed the desk. Even for our two dogs! Who they treated like royalty with a mat & dog bowls in the room. The free mini bar was awesome! We were so hot when we arrived, it was awesome to have cold water, juice & beer in the room to drink. The free public transportation access, 50% off to museums & 20CHF electric bike rentals were also wonderful perks! I wish we had stayed more than one night!

The week I booked the price was insanely good for single person and the room has everything needed and super clean and functioning perfectly. The bed was very comfortable.What's amazing is that I checked in at around 9am! I was hoping to leave my luggage there but the reception said my room was ready. Amazing!

The Basel Exhibition Centre can be reached by tram within 10 minutes. Maintaining an atmosphere of the good-old-day hotel. I was welcomed by a live piano music at the hotel entrance. Staff are very kind and helpful. Breakfast was good. It is so close to the central station.
