You can sit in the gardens and look at the wall. The staff were exceptional. Incredibly helpful in guiding us about wall tickets etc. The hotel shuttle to the wall was a lovely vehicle and the entire hotel felt extremely classy and high end. It makes going to the wall a lovely experience, rather than a rushed bus tour.

First of all, we arrived earlier than the check-in time, but the staff did their best to get us into an available room as soon as possible. One staff member told us that we could get our key cards in an hour, but after waiting about 1.5 hours with no update, I approached the front desk again and spoke to a different staff member. She helped us right away and finally gave us our room key cards. We stayed for 5 days and 4 nights. It was a special trip for my mom’s birthday. On her birthday, after we returned from the Great Wall, we were pleasantly surprised to find a complimentary bottle of wine in our room. My mom was so touched that she wrote a thank-you letter herself! The breakfast was great, with many kinds of food to enjoy. The housekeeping lady was also very kind and made sure our room was clean and comfortable every day. Although the staff didn’t speak English, they were very willing to help and provided everything we needed. If we visit Beijing again, we would definitely stay here. The location is a bit of a downside, but it wasn’t a problem for us since we only traveled using the Didi app and didn’t use the subway or buses. Overall, it was worth the money!
