Each of the rooms at the Palacion offers charming rural design, heating and a TV. A hairdryer is available in the en suite bathroom. A comfortable hotel in the countryside near Comillas with a large swimming pool and gardens to relax in. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant - the hake with a saffron sauce was recommended and didn't disappoint. Unrelated to the hotel, we loved El Capricho de Gaudi in Comillas. We booked on-line and paid for an excellent guided tour in English which at only 3€ extra was an absolute bargain.

The original oak staircase (made from a single tree trunk) is an impressive sight upon entering the hotel. Although fully equipped hotel with all the latest facilities there is a good balance between luxury, tradition and comfort. This is an incredible property. Building is circa 1500s and has been made into a wonderful hotel. Great ambiance and incredibly helpful staff.
