Bathroom was gorgeous and the whole space was lovely for us as a family of 5. Short walk into town aswell which was great!

The property has a contemporary bar with local real ales, restaurant, free parking and free WiFi. This is a very welcoming pub. The staff, especially Debbie, Katie and Georgia were in particular, very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was large and comfortable. The food was excellent and I particularly loved the outside space. We will definitely stay here again.

Self check in was simple and well explained. The unit was spacious, clean and oh my goodness the bed was one of the most comfortable I have experienced during traveling. The location couldn't have been better and within short walking distance to all of York's must see attractions and entertainment. Price point was very reasonable and the property well exceeded expectations. Will definately be back and recommend to others.

The room was cozy and had great decorations and tons of little teas and coffees and cute pillows it was adorable. The view was great as well and the location really can’t be beat. It’s quite a happening spot but not loud at night.

All 27 en-suite bedrooms have been individually decorated with antique furniture and feature both tea/coffee making facilities and an en-suite bathroom with complimentary toiletries. It's a truly beautiful place with a unique interior design that we loved. Findig our room was like climbing up the stairs in a maze (in a good way) and made us feel as if we were staying in a castle. The room was clean, with surprise Kit-Kat bars and Cadbury hot chocolate powder on the tea table. The bed was big and comfy, bathroom shower excellent with two shower heads. Staff was really nice and helpful (e.g. carrying my luggage to our room). We loved the little garden in the back and the location is also perfect, in a quiet area but ten minutes on foot from the city centre. We appreciated that at breakfast, the self-service table was monitored and restacked regularly. If we return to York, we would love to book this place again.

The building is a Grade II Listed Regency townhouse with sash windows, high ceilings, a sweeping central staircase, and ivy around the door. Inside you’ll find pantries stocked full of treats, great restaurant food throughout the day, drinks from the bar and a spa centred on bespoke therapies. Excellent customer service and the premises and facilities were were exceptionally maintained. Staff were friendly and very accommodating.
