The location was perfect, the room was great and the staff was very helpful. Matera is a stunning place to visit, but as with all ancient towns, it can be a challenge to navigate. The Belvedere II avoids that issue as it is perfectly located on the way into the town, this means no hauling suitcases through the labyrinth. There is also a great, secure, covered parking lot very close by.

The breakfast was amazing with a great selection of food, probably one of the best I have had in an Italian Hotel. Aperitivo in the evening came with so much stuzzuchini (nibbles served with your drink) that we had to push out our dinner booking by an hour :-). Highly recommend this hotel!

Ridola Hotel was designed in 1872 by Leonardo Ridola, a famous local architect. It still has original vaults and pavements, and its façade features a solar clock from the 1900s. Very clean and great swimming pool. The location was ideal for walking towards the city. Through the little gate you were immediately on the right path.

Air-conditioned rooms all feature a flat-screen satellite TV, a seating area and fully fitted private bathroom with a shower. Amazing place, just as shown in the pictures. Super convenient location and is actually inside the old town area. I don't always go for the breakfast in hotels but the one served by Monica was great. Overall, 10/10.
