Facing the central shopping street of the Kinosaki Onsen hot spring area, Morizuya offers authentic Japanese-style accommodation, hot spring baths and Japanese dining. Guests can wear colourful yukata robes at the property. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. The property is absolutely gorgeous, we had the traditional Japanese room which was spacious, clean and very beautiful. The host greeted us, explained everything in great detail, took some pictures and then we were invited to a tea ceremony that was hosted by his mother. I would definitely book the room again - probably the best experience in our Japan trip.

Founded in the 12th century and beloved by Junichiro Tanizaki and other Japanese novelists, Tosen Goshobo is the oldest of the hot-spring inns at Arima. Standing beside the Taki River, it features outdoor hot-spring baths and traditional in-room meals and is a 5-minute walk from Arima Onsen Train Station. The Japanese rooms have traditional futon bedding and a minibar. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Tocen Goshobo. It was just a few minutes walk away from the bus stops. The onsen bath was atmospheric and the temperature felt just right (not too hot even for inexperienced bathers). The staff was wonderfully welcoming, the room lovely and the futon beds extra comfortable. The Arima onsen village was bigger than we expected, several dinner options (we opted for only breakfast (was superb!) at the Tocen Goshobo).

Rooms with chic décor are fitted with stylish furnishings, and feature a flat-screen TV, a fridge and an electric kettle. The en suite bathroom includes a bath tub and free toiletries. Most rooms boast views of either the harbour or the city. Everything was great. Including the staff. Very accommodating. Beautiful hotel!

Onishiya Suisyouen offers beautiful hot-spring baths, a sauna and Japanese garden beside the Maruyama River.

Guests at Onishiya Suisyouen Ryokan can experience a traditional Japanese room with futon beds and tatami (woven-straw) flooring, or enjoy a Western-style room. Japanese-style rooms include a tea maker, private bathroom and a satellite TV. All rooms have air conditioning. Amazing place. Friendly and very helpful staff. Delicious dinner and breakfast. Shuttles to and from the baths until 10 pm. Private Onsen bath is also quite comfy Excellent service. A little remark: i'm surprised about how good the coffee is from an automatic coffee machine.

Situated just a 3-minute walk from JR Motomachi Staion, Kobe Motomachi Tokyu REI Hotel provides simple rooms with natural colours. Complimentary tea and coffee are offered after checking in, and free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Fantastic hotel, very friendly staff. Rainshower shower in its own room. Spacious room. Most sophisticated toilet system of all my stays. Hard and very good beds. Nothing to complain.

Villa Fontaine Kobe Sannomiya offers modern rooms with free wired internet access. Free Wi-Fi is available at the 5th floor lobby. The East Exit of JR Sannomiya Train Station is only a 5-minute walk away. The staff were really helpful and nice. Gave a lot of recommendations in Kobe. The hotel is well maintained and clean.

Only a 3-minute walk from JR Himeji Station, Dormy Inn Himeji Natural Hot Spring offers modern rooms with free WiFi is provided throughout the property. Guests can relax in the public hot-spring baths or request massages for an extra cost. Great location close to the station and a short walk from the castle. very friendly staff. parking for several cars (uses car lift so size limits apply). Great Japanese breakfast choice. Free ramen from 21.30-2300 every evening. roof spa (didn’t see or use though as stated only one night). Rooms a little dated but perfectly fine.

The staff could not have been more helpful from the moment we arrived. We had a great view from our room on the 29th floor.

Spacious room, staff was very nice, walking distance to anything you might wanna do in Himeji. Also a view of Himeji Castle from the hotel terrace!

The classically styled, air-conditioned rooms at Union Hotel Kobe Sannomiya include a fridge and private bathroom. I couldn't complain. Everything was nice.
