Both Kiyomizu Gojo and Shichijo stations for the Keihan Main Line are situated within a 10-minute walk. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. Guesthouse Soi was an extremely comfortable and well located place for our visit to Kyoto. Our room was clean and spacious, the provided breakfast was a simple but tasty start to the day, with the upgraded Japanese breakfast being one of the best meals we’ve had during our stay here. Maki and Sim were so friendly and helpful, and I constantly witnessed them helping people throughout our stay. This saved us when we left our bag in a bus and they were immediately able to contact the bus company and the restaurant we were in prior to confirm where they were - something that would have been extremely hard without a local phone number and fluent Japanese. Guesthouse Soi will be our first choice if we return to Kyoto.

The hotel itself is huge, very well kept and stylized. The staff were nice and spoke English well so it was easy as a foreigner. The room itself was large and extremely clean as the rest of the hotel. The bed was comfortable. The bath was large and very nice, they provide you with bath salts for a nice soak. There were a few different tea sets you could try, one of them being a matcha set. It was quiet, I couldn't hear my neighbors at all. I got a massage, the masseuse was very nice and professional, I felt relaxed. The food at the restaurants was very good as well, there were a few options for different cuisines and budgets. Overall a great experience and value for money. I came to relax and managed to do just that!

Truly an exceptional property, in every way. Friendly, helpful and courteous staff. Luxury ambience and amenities. The property has lots of character and lovely design elements. Surely one of the best boutique hotels I have stayed in, ever in my life! Felt sad when it was time to check out 😊.
Gorgeous boutique hotel with lovely rooms and fantastic bathroom facilities, rain shower head is amazing! Cafe downstairs served great coffee and pastries. Rooftop bar was very cool, excellent service and great atmosphere. Staff are incredibly helpful.
Beautiful massive room. Great design. Lovely bath :) Huge rooftop views.
The room was quite spacious. Every detail that may be required for accommodation has been considered. The room had a very stylish design. We really loved the kitchen part, even though we didn't particularly use it! great design! Many popular places can be visited on foot. The employees were very helpful and friendly.
Can’t recommend this place enough! The bathroom, the kitchen, the comfy beds, gorgeous interior design. Close to everything you need. Will stay again!
Lovely boutique 5 star hotel with cool history, beautiful design, over-the-top amenities, and wonderful staff. Kid friendly. I would come to Kyoto again and stay here :)
Best of the 5 hotels we’ve stayed at on our two week trip to Japan. Beautiful boutique hotel. Lovely stylish room with great bathroom and walk in shower. Had king bed as well and more and well designed space in room. Super guest lounge with coffee, juices and snacks and in the evening beer and wine too. Very friendly staff. Quiet location but walking distance to all key points of central city and lots of little local restaurants and bars if you explore.
node is a beautiful boutique hotel with clean interior design. It will be a joy for everyone who likes aesthetic things. The hotel bar and restaurant serve impeccable drinks and food. The staff has been nothing but amazing to us and left us with nothing to wish. If we return to Kyoto, we will definitely stay here again.
A lovely boutique hotel - well designed with friendly staff and great facilities for guests, including a communal kitchen and lounge. Our Japanese-style standard room was very roomy and stylish - we loved the tatami and the seperate bathroom off the shoji-screened entrance. The Japanese breakfast included in the very reasonable room rate was delicious.
