First place we stayed with a bathtub too. Lots of hidden areas to explore.

The expansive garden is a tranquil oasis right in the heart of vibrant, rural Bentota. We loved exploring the quiet backstreets by bike (freely available), observing local life and reaching the serene, uncrowded beach in just minutes – perfect for swimming and surfing. A fantastic Ayurveda centre was also nearby. The accommodation is stylish, immaculately kept, and yet wonderfully welcoming – it immediately gave us a sense of belonging. Special thanks go to General Manager Conrad, who hosted us with incredible warmth, attentiveness, and insight. He was not only a perfect host, but also a cultural guide and a true friend – making everything possible, from a fresh seafood BBQ to tracking down a lost phone. Even the owner went above and beyond – including sourcing a guitar for us! We actually stayed at Nisala Arana twice – once at the beginning of our trip, and again at the end. That’s how much we loved it. The second time we brought friends and enjoyed an almost private guesthouse experience, complete with a talented chef who prepared amazing curries and menus tailored to our tastes. In short: a place with true heart, deep respect for its guests, and a very personal level of service. Perfect for families, couples, and anyone seeking a stylish yet relaxed atmosphere – not about Instagram hype, but about real soul.

Surrounded by greenery, Shangri-lanka Villa is just a 10-minute walk from Bentota Beach. It features an outdoor swimming pool, an Ayurveduc massage centre and rooms with free WiFi access. It is a bird watchers paradise. Beautiful hotel, spacious rooms, quiet but not remote, friendly people. Simply fantastic!!! If we're ever again in the area we'll both definitely want to stay here again. HIGHLY recommended!

Great location just across the road from the beautiful beach and a fantastic restaurant called The catamaran. Pool and garden excellent and a very decent breakfast. Helpful staff.

The Palms 24-hour restaurant serves international cuisine, while authentic Chinese food is offered at Oriental Pavilion. Other dining options include fresh seafood at the open-air S.H.A.C.K., fine dining at Sea View and cocktails at the hotel's 2 bars. Great location, lovely staff, delicious breakfast, our room was modern (after renovation), very beatiful hotel and it's territory, we will definitely come back.

Set in beautiful landscaped grounds, Haus Berlin offers relaxing stays in spacious rooms. Featuring an outdoor pool, it offers bike rental and free WiFi in public areas for free. The property provides Ayurveda treatments. The owners are the nicest people and the rooms, location and food is great. Will definitely recommend anyone to stay here! :) Thanks for a great stay.
