Authentic colonial atmosphere with old doors, old windows and some touches of modern style (lamps, chairs in the restaurant). All matches very well - really a gorgeous piece of interior architecture. Friendly, caring and attentive staff! Huge room , relaxed atmosphere, great breakfast - you can choose continental or Sri Lanken and get it served. We had Sri Lanken and it was excellent. You can also choose in which of their lovely seating areas you want to be served. So much individuality Treatment was like in a 5 star hotel ! Would have loved to stay much longer! Hotel itself would be a reason to come back to Galle

I recently stayed at this charming homestay located within the historic Galle Fort, and it was an unforgettable experience. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of the fort, with easy access to its cobblestone streets, boutique shops, and delicious restaurants. However, the real highlight of this place is its stunning rooftop. The rooftop offers one of the breathtaking sunset views I’ve ever seen, specially you can enjoy lot of people hanging around on holidays with their family & friends , watch locals playing cricket , see people sitting enjoying the sun set on the wall & some even flying kites on the ramparts along with the sunset which is RARE. Every evening, I found myself eagerly heading up to watch the sky transform into a canvas of vibrant oranges, pinks, and purples as the sun dipped below the horizon. The panoramic view of the fort, the ocean, and the surrounding area made it feel like a private paradise. It’s the ideal spot to unwind with a cup of tea or a good book after a day of exploring. My room was beautiful & perfect with the Balcony & it had everything you want to make your stay comfortable. Comfy bed & water pressure was great. It had 2 large French windows which gives a bright light to the room. The homestay itself is cozy and well-maintained, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, providing helpful tips about the area. While breakfast isn’t included, there are plenty of fantastic cafes and eateries within walking distance, so it wasn’t an issue at all. If you’re looking for a peaceful and picturesque place to stay in Galle Fort, this homestay is an excellent choice. The rooftop alone is worth the stay, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone who loves a good sunset view. I’ll definitely be returning on my next trip to Sri Lanka.

L'hôtel Roman Beach propose de spacieuses chambres dotées de la climatisation, d'une connexion Wi-Fi gratuite ainsi que d'une belle hauteur sous plafond. Elles offrent une vue sur la mer. Absolument tout. C’est un petit hôtel absolument charmant. Expérience fabuleuse. Les chambres sont spacieuses, bien insonorisées, bien décorées et très propres, bonne literie, salle de bains spacieuse également. Toutes les chambres ont vue sur l’océan et la piscine. Accès direct à la plage. Le bâtiment est très bien entretenu ainsi que le jardin. Le personnel est discret et d’une extreme gentillesse (mention spéciale à Sampath et au gardien qui m’a aidée avec mes pieds plein de petrol suite à une ballade sur une plage loin de l’hôtel assez polluée). Le chef du restaurant est très à l’écoute de tous, et de plie en quatre pour nous faire plaisir. Toujours beaucoup de petites attentions très plaisantes et sa cuisine est divine!
