My Village
Tissamaharama

My Village is a great place to relax and be close to Yala National Park. The staff is very friendly, and we lacked nothing. The breakfast was very good and complete. The room was very clean and well-equipped.
Arranged by the hotel, we did a full day safari at Yala National Park with Mari as our guide, and it was incredible.
He has a lot of experience and does his job with great passion. He understands the animals and knows exactly how they coexist in the park. He managed to show us all the rare animals in the park (leopard, bear, elephant with tusks, etc.).
He always tried to show us places with fewer jeeps (there are about 100-150 per day).
On top of that, he was really very friendly, and we laughed a lot.
A wonderful day, I really recommend him as guide!

Located on the edge of a rice field and a 5-minute walk from the shores of Lake Yoda, Gaga Bees Yala features free WiFi in public areas. This Eco friendly resort offers an outdoor infinity pool. Guests can relax on the terrace. This place is a magical place with a calm and quiet nature. Swimming in the early morning before breakfast is the best thing to do. If you love animals, there is a lovely dog and lots of peacocks flying around. Throughout our stay, Dinesh helped us make our stay wonderful. They even made us a special Sri Lankan breakfast during our stay. I'm definitely going to visit again. I even met a lovely family from Switzerland with two kids. This is definitely a wonderful place to spend your holiday. 🌿😍

On the banks of Weerawila Lake, Flower Garden Lake Resort in Tissamaharama offers an outdoor pool and free Wi-Fi in public areas. It is only 22 km from Yala National Park, where guests can take part in safari tours. Nice location and well maintained garden. Also they have provided us tasty breakfast. Staff is very friendly.

Absolutely stunning place. Well designed. Having just been to Marrakech in Morocco, this resort reminded us of a luxurious Riad! Excellent food, super pleasant staff and helpful owner! Perfect springboard for Yala. Our excellent safari driver, Mari, turned out to be a perfect leopard spotter (organised by My Village)

Justin and the team looked after us without fault. The bungalow has been beautifully designed. We loved the outdoor shower, the very comfortable bed and sitting in the shade by the lovely pool. Climbing the water tower in the evening to watch the numerous birds and buffalo prepare for the night was magical.

I liked the design and the materials used both in the interior and exterior. Really beautiful. Thankful for the organized safari to Yala and our guide Appu, thanks to whom we saw all kinds of animals and even a leopard - far away sleeping in a tree. Thank you very much for the breakfast packet for the road. However, if you don't go to Yala, you may find a gorgeous bouquet of creatures in your room. For example, a small frog and a lizard.

Absolutely standout stay- location beautiful and quiet, surrounded by nature. Buildings beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, spacious and private. Food was superb- the menu is small, but everything we ate was really really good. Staff are lovely- nothing was too much trouble. We were lucky enough to be there at the same time as the owner who was helpful, knowledgeable and generally lovely. My son (7) went fishing at the bottom of the garden and loved it.

Honestly, the nicest hotel we stayed so far in Sri Lanka. Great design giving you African safari vibe. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. Amazing pool and outdoor area.

We had a great stay in Ranakeliya lodge. We stayed in a tent which felt like we were still in the park. Everything had a great taste for design and was very clean. The breakfast was just lovely and cherry on the top! Highly recommended
