But the staff and owners are even better than the hotel-and that is really saying something. We were contacted before we arrived asking if they would have snacks and margaritas ready for us when we arrived. They also asked if we had any dietary restrictions. I am gluten free and they kindly made everything gluten free for me!! To include snacks, breakfast and fresh cookies in our room each day! They also made us dinner reservations for every night and made sure they knew I was gluten free. Now, to talk about my favorite part, other than the amazingly kind staff and owners. The breakfasts!!!! They were beyond delicious, and I am very picky. Each day was not only stunning to look at but some of the best food I have eaten in my life. I know their chef will have an amazing culinary career. The owners are so lucky to have found her! A huge thank you to the absolutely amazing staff and owners! I have never felt better taken care of in my life and was greeted with so much kindness!!! One of the highlights of my stay was the proximity to the center, allowing me to easily access all of Merida's historical tourist attractions. Plus, having the owner onsite added an extra layer of hospitality, as they were always available to offer friendly advice and assistance.

Featuring an outdoor pool and set next to Francisco Cantón Park, Hotel Mesón del Marqués is set in a Colonial 17-century house. Surrounded by attractive gardens, it offers an à la carte restaurant and free parking. The staff spoke perfect English and they were so keen to help. They gave recommendations, helped parking the car. The room was spacious, with a good airco. We received a bottle of water per person each day. The dining area is impossible to describe. It's like an open place in the building with a fountain in the middle. They perform showcooking at the table. Breakfast was very tasty, with a good choice.

A large terrace with lounge chairs combine with the solarium for complete relaxation. Lobby and corridors are decorated with paintings of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. Frida's Garden serves al fresco breakfast under an impressive dome. Lunch and dinner offer traditional Mexican cuisine. Free parking is also available on site.
