This is an absolute gem - the guesthouse is a historic converted warehouse with oodles of charm and a real sense of history. My ground floor room was really spacious, and had a lovely kitchen space and a view of a courtyard garden. The breakfast was fantastic - a lovely tray delivered to the room, with a choice of cheeses, breads, fruit, yoghurt, muesli etc etc. A lovely welcome from the owner as well.

The colour palette with green tones and the new interior creates the perfect balance between authentic and modern. Great location, big and nicely decorated room, very comfortable bed, very polite and helpful staff. Breakfast was ok value for the money, not extremely big choice of food, but can fit to everyone’s needs and taste.

The Martini Church is 1 km from the property and the Northern Maritime Musem is a 15-minute walk away. I really enjoyed my stay. The room was clean, the shower worked well and housekeeping cleaned the room on every day of the stay. The girl that helped me check in was very nice and was helpful with my special request for the check out. There were bus stations only a few minutes away from the location, as well as a supermarket that was open till 22. The city center was also at a convenient walking distance from the hotel. The area felt safe and was very quiet as well.

Martini Hotel Centre is situated in a monumental building and lies in the city centre of Groningen. The Grote Markt and many restaurants and shops are within walking distance. Free WiFi is offered throughout the property. The location was perfect, no affordable hotel like this is placed where everything can be reached with a few minutes of walking. The staff was really helpful and kind and the room was clean and organized. It exceeded my expectations!
