Situated in western Norway’s Nærøyfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this waterfront hotel offers easy access to ferry boat fjord tours. Some rooms have skylights with views up to Kjelsfossen Waterfall. The Gudvangen Fjordtell offered an unparalleled experience during our recent visit to Norway, with its Viking Rooms providing the perfect blend of history and modern comfort. We were captivated by the hotel's beautiful surroundings, which allowed us to immerse ourselves in the region's natural beauty while staying in a room that transported us back in time. The proximity to the cruise/ferry terminal and Viking village added to our enjoyment, as did the nearby restaurants offering delicious food and the friendly staff who made our stay feel special from the moment we arrived. Although finding parking in the afternoon could be challenging due to the large public parking area, we were grateful for the early check-in option, which allowed us to start enjoying the hotel's amenities earlier than planned. Overall, we cannot recommend Gudvangen Fjordtell highly enough and will cherish our memories of this unforgettable stay in Norway!

Housed in a 19th-century building by Stryn Bay, this hotel offers individually decorated rooms with private balconies and free WiFi access. Stryn centre is a short walk away.

All guest rooms at Visnes Hotel Stryn have traditional furnishings. Each room has a seating area and a private bathroom with shower. We stayed in a self-catering cottage next to the hotel . The cottage was well equipped, clean, and there was lots of space. We have a 3 week trip, and sometimes you want to eat your own choice of food. There was a supermarket nearby what was really nice.

At the head of the famous Flåm Railway in Myrdal, this hotel is only accessible by train and sits high above Aurlandsfjord. It is not located very close to Myrdal station, it's located 1,5 km from Myrdal. It's not possible to walk to the hotel wintertime due to the snow conditions. We recommend to take the train one stop down from Myrdal to Vatnahalsen station. Important to check the timetable for the trains. It takes 30 minutes to walk summertime. It's NOT possble to drive by car to Vatnahalsen hotel. Gabriel and Anna are the best. Warm, extremely nice, helpful. Went out of the way to help guests. It felt like a family. God bless.
