Peppers Bluewater Resort is a 4.5-star hotel close to the shores of Lake Tekapo. This resort offers luxury accommodation, great views and is ideally positioned for exploring the Mackenzie Basin and Southern Alps. It is a 10-minute walk from the Church of the Good Shepherd. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful accommodation experience! The bathroom was amazing with underfloor heating, good ventilation, and separate bathtub and shower facilities. Despite the strong wind, the curtains were thick and the room was surprisingly well-insulated. The reception lounge was also serene, clean, and very pleasant, and it operates 24 hours.

Set within the Burkes Pass gateway to Mackenzie Country, Burkes Pass Country Motels is centrally located for skiing at Mt Dobson and Roundhill and day trips to Mt Cook. Guests enjoy free WiFi and views of the surrounding Rollesby Range and Mt Burgess. We spent just one night in this motel on our way to Christchurch and we rate it very highly. The unit was cosy and warm, the bed very comfortable and we slept well. The hosts are friedly and welcoming. It was extremely good value!

Three Rivers Lodge is located off the southern banks of Lake Tekapo, in the shadow of New Zealand’s picturesque Southern Alps. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The room and bathroom were lovely. It was nice to sit in the garden and admire the amazing view. We were welcomed and checked in by a delightful Chinese girl. A very comfortable bed ensured a good nights sleep.
