An easy walk through the town and to the waterfront. The meals were excellent. For breakfast you can have the buffet or order cooked items from a menu, or both. The dinner menu is outstanding with a wide range of options for fish, meat, and vegetarian, and everything we had was delicious. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Our room had a small balcony with a view overlooking the ocean. The bed was comfortable, and the firm pillows we requested were perfect.

The spacious rooms are individually designed following the 4-seasons-of-the-year theme. Each features an LCD TV with in-room movies, free WiFi and a laptop-size safe. Probably the comfiest hotel bed we've ever slept in - the quality of the sheets, matress and pillows was incredible. we got a free upgrade to a suite, the room was enormous and beautiful, with a freestanding bathtub. Breakfast was delicious, the hotel design was very fun. Beautiful rooftop pool and bar. Staff very friendly and accomodating. Would love to go back!

All rooms and apartments of the Golden Residence are equipped with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, and a kettle. Some rooms have side views of the North Atlantic Ocean. Apartments feature a living area with a kitchenette. We loved our stay at Golden Residences Hotel. Everything was clean and tidy. The staff was very helpful and the facilities were also top notch! We enjoyed the breakfast spread and the kids had a great time at the indoor heated pool.

This restored Madeiran mansion is located 900 metres from Funchal's Old Town and has scenic views of the sea, the city and the mountains from its own botanical gardens and terraces. Free WiFi and free covered private parking are available. The perfect service was the possibility to park directly in the basement of the hotel. Although the parking area is small and maneuvering a car is sometimes difficult, without this parking it would be a big problem where to leave the car arround the hotel.
