Great facilities, comfortable bed, perfect location, very quiet at night. On a hot day, the air conditioning was a lifesaver. You can start the day by enjoying an espresso on the balcony. Located within Guimarães city wall, in a manor house from the 18th century, Casa do Juncal combines history with modern comfort and elegance. The location of the hotel was excellent! Just a few steps from the historic center square. Breakfast was also delicious and we were able to request special items. And the staff was so friendly! Check-in was so easy.

I had no idea what I was booking when I had to find a hotel for one night lastminute while in Viana do Castelo. Had I known what a gem this place was, I would have stayed here for the full time that I was in town. It was beautiful, historic, and run by a team that you can tell really, really cares about hospitality. Everyone I met was lovely. The room was comfortable, quiet, clean and spacious, the breakfast was perfect, and the gardens were a lovely treat. My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer to soak in the spirit of this place. If I have the luck of passing by Viana do Castelo again, this is where I will stay.

The room was clean and nicely decorated. Beautiful windows with a peaceful view of the historic downtown. Quiet location, very close to the river. The staff were excellent, very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast had a lot of variety and was very filling. This was one of my favorite stops along the Camino.

Trovador Guest House is located in the historic center of Guimarães and offers comfortable suites just 1 km from the iconic Guimarães Castle. Wi-Fi is free in all areas. The place was really nice. I had a top floor room and it was perfect, clean and comfortable. Location was great with easy access to the old town and restaurants etc. A/C was a plus. Highly recommended.
