It takes 10 minutes to drive to Kanchanaburi city centre. Bangkok is 3 hours’ drive away. Really great resort for an exotic feeling holiday in an interesting location. Great start point for trips to local national parks. A great restaurant on site sadly closed on one night of our stay for a wedding.

The guesthouse has very nice and original decor decor and furnishings and the rooms are very nice and comfortable. It is also within walking distance of both the bus and minivan station and the train station (although the latter is half an hour's walk away). The owner - a local woman - is very helpful and forthcoming, and she's also one of few communicative Thais with a genuine interest in foreigners that I came across on my two trips to Thailand: once I even asked her to call a bike rental shop to let them know that I would return the bicycle I was renting from them later than agreed, as unfortunately I cannot speak Thai, and she kindly obliged. Not to mention that her husband was twice kind enough to give me and other guests a ride to the minivan and bus station so that I did not have to pay for a tuk tuk.

Rooms offer an iPod dock and a flat-screen TV. Everything...this hotel is a little gem . Beautiful rooms with comfortable beds ,tea and coffee making facilities and toiletries are an added bonus. The staff are super helpful and the buffet breakfast had an excellent selection of food..Free bicycle hire was a nice touch .

Did the bamboo rafting which was a fun activity. Free pickup from Nam Tok train station.
