Located on the Island of Sovalye, Ece Hotel Sovalye Island is only a 10-minute boat ride from the mainland of Fethiye. In retrospect, I should not have given that many 10's to other locations in the past, because no other hotel I've been at even remotely compares to this one. Sunset view from the room, infinity pool, deck on the beach, real underwater ruins for snorkeling, trees and birds everywhere. The restaurant, the bar and the breakfast terrace all have sea view. The island has no roads and no cars, just pathways and stairs. Transfer from and to the mainland is free if you stick to the schedule. The staff is nice and attentive.

When you don't want to go to the beach, you can easily spend the whole day on your sun lounger by the canal. You can use the hotel's canoe for free before 10 am and after 5 pm without opening the canal too much.
