Absolutely perfect! Our room (905) was on the top floor with fabulous views. The room itself was very comfortable, had good storage space, and a small kitchenette with fridge, etc. Location in Potts Point was excellent. In the same street were several cafes, bars, restaurants and a supermarket. To walk to the Botanical Gardens, for example, took about 20 minutes, down a flight of steps (easier going down than up, but doable!) located close to the hotel. We found it a very easy area to negotiate and whilst it's a busy neighbourhood, it felt very 'local'. Lots of people walking dogs, etc. Staff at the Macleay were very kind and friendly and a couple of small issues were rectified immediately. Loved the hotel, loved the area and would most definitely return.

First there was a bit of a hiccup as I requested an early check in but the room was not available. Then we were told that we could not stay there for the whole two weeks that was booked due to the place closing. I have to say the manager Denise went out of her way to rectify all that was happening to make us as comfortable as possible. Even found us accommodation at another hotel to complete our stay. The staff was very friendly. The beds were super comfortable especially after traveling for 26hrs that was all we looked for and it exceeded our expectations. I want to thank Denise and the staff for their exceptional services.
