For us we loved our stay from the care at reception and acknowledging our room wasn’t quite ready (but it was NY Eve - to be fair). The courtesy drink was most welcome & the wait was minimal
The room was internal facing so away from the main road, quiet, clean and the sweet treat was a nice touch
Spacious room with a lovely balcony and friendly staff from housekeeping upwards - a real team vibe
Christmas decorations and what’s not to live about breakfast and the bubbles really set the tone for NY celebrations
Would definitely stay again

The apartment is unique – well appointed, very comfortable, and conveniently located close to Ghent’s main attractions. The historic building combined with the stunning interior design made the stay truly memorable. Communication with the host was prompt and very friendly. The added convenience of a Carrefour just a few meters from the entrance was a real bonus. This has been my best stay in Ghent so far.

Super cozy, super clean house with all amenities you need for your stay. It has three bedrooms, two overlooking garden and one facing the street which is really quiet. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you can imagine, hosts even left us coffee and tea and some individually packed food to feel more welcome. One bathroom with bath and toilet upstairs and one toilet only downstairs. The most beautiful part of the house is dining area with large table overlooking small garden in rustic style with a small pond, seating area and a hammock. Very good for families and groups of friends since it is very close to the city center (it would be right to say the house is IN the city center). Last but not least, communication with the host was fast and easy.
Hostel Uppelink offers accommodation in Ghent right next to the Saint Michael's Bridge. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar and free Wi-Fi at the property. Complimentary walking tours are also offered.

By far one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at! The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and I was pleasantly surprised to have the best view of Ghent Castle right from my window. It truly added to the experience. Despite the building being old, it has been maintained in excellent condition.
The entry process was seamless with an online swipe key, which was very convenient. The reception staff were incredibly friendly and supportive, making the stay even more enjoyable. The lobby area had great options for food and beverages, a cozy space to relax, and even free games to play.
The bathrooms were well-kept and included a laundry area, which was an added bonus. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Ghent!
