The location is perfect. You are directly in the city and it's very close to the university campus. There is an endless number of opportunities to get a nice meal nearby. The hosts were very clear, helpful and kind and could also speak english without effort.
The facilities are also very nice. The room was clean and the shower is very comfortable.

The location is excellent — close to shops, restaurants, and the main attractions of the city.
The staff was very friendly and always willing to help.

This hotel has become my new standard for future ratings! Everything was perfect - the breakfast was healthy and delicious and the room was amazing with incredible views on the river, the city and the incredible mountainous landscape around it. It also had great facilites - terrace, bath, clean and well equiped bathroom and shower.
But the best of all is the staff - I cannot be grateful enough for all the help they provided in helping us get the best from our visit to Guilin. These are kind and wonderful people that should be a role model for all hotels in the world. I would like to thank everyone from the staff for their hospitality, we will never forget you! Guilin is magical on it's own, but you made it even more so!

Great view, big room, fantastic services, especially at the horizon club lounge. Anna Mao in the lounge was very attentive and thoughtful, the glasses are always filled, questions are always answered.Happy hour at the club lounge is not the normal “hors d'oeuvre”, you can basically have dinner there. View from the room is great too! I stayed in 2 shangri-la hotels in this trip but Guilin Shangri-la is next level compared to the other one. We truely enjoy the stay and hoping to come back again.

Basically everything about the hotel was great.
First of all, the reception speaks good English, which is an unusual about China. They are also very nice and helpful.
The room was spacious, comfortable and really well designed. We loved the sitting tea area next to the window. A marvelous idea!
Bathroom was clean and very comfortable.
Breakfast was truly delicious.
The last but not least the location of the hotel is within walking distance from Guilin’s main attraction and the wide series of great reastaurants

The hotel is simply beautiful and decorated with taste. Some amazing views from the window and yummy breakfast. The owners are super friendly and helpful trying to make our stay the best possible. We rented bikes and went around the area which is lovely and green, with fields and a river. If you prefer to stay outside of the big city bustle this is the place!
