Beautiful new hotel. The location was great to explore the historic district. The decor was tastefully done and the room comfortable. We had to depart before breakfast so were given a large packaged breakfast instead.

Cranky Croc is a wonderful hostel in the historical city center of Bogota! It is a nice place to meet fellow travellers from all over the world. We appreciated not only our stay but also the multiple options of tours you can book at the hostel directly. We did the famous hike to the tallest waterfall in Colombia - La Chorrera and it was just epic! The hostel itself is very home-like with the main room and seats around the table so you can always find someone to talk to and make new friends. Not counting happy friendly staff.

The location is perfect for exploring La Candelaria and Simon Bolivar square area and a busy shopping market area. It is peaceful and equipped enough for you to prepare food if you want. There's a mini market a few doors away. The terrace has a fabulous view. The manager was very helpful with check in and arranging a taxi to the airport (even though the driver tried to charge us nearly double what we expected to pay). Hot shower was great as it's quite chilly in Bogota.

It felt like coming home. The staff were incredibly helpful with everything from SIM cards to bus bookings. Our room was great with a projector where we could watch movies from bed. Would very much recommend people to stay here.

Staying at this hostel was like staying at home. Patricia and Gabriel are the sweetest hosts. This hostel is so safe, in an amazing area, the beds are so comfy and cosy, facilities are clean, the kitchen is amazing, and breakfast every morning with Gabriel’s homemade jam is such an amazing way to start the day and a nice way to have likeminded chats with other travellers. This guest house is a great find! The rooms are beautifully decorated and clean. The location is so convenient in the heart of La Candelaria. Maria the host is so lovely and welcoming and very kind to let us store our bags and access the common areas after checkout. We really felt at home.
